MARQUETTE COUNTY, Wis. — At the Oct. 6 meeting, financial unit staff Jennifer Vote summarized findings from the department’s 2024 audit, completed by Baker Tilly, and explained internal steps the department will take to resolve the issues.
Vote also updated the board on Food Bank operations in September, including revenue and community fundraising tied to Pigfest, an identified need to replace a walk-in cooler and freezer, and plans for a Thanksgiving Meal fundraiser.
Board members asked questions seeking context around the audit findings and the Food Bank’s capital needs. Staff said they will implement internal changes to address the audit findings and return progress reports to the board.
