Marquette County ADRC reviews 2025–2027 Aging Plan goals on transportation, nutrition, evidence-based programs and caregiver supports

At its Nov. 6, 2025 meeting, the Marquette County ADRC Advisory Committee reviewed and discussed the goals and strategies that will guide the agency’s 2025–2027 Aging Plan.
Transportation: The committee reviewed a Title III-B goal stating the Marquette County Transportation Program will offer accessible transportation on a donation basis to people 60+ for community engagement events. The plan sets a minimum of two transportation events per year, with pick-up locations rotated across different areas to increase geographic access. The minutes list the Older American Celebration on May 14, 2025 and Picnic in the Park on June 19, 2025 as completed for 2025.
Nutrition: Under Title III-C, the Marquette County Nutrition Program will transition to person-centered nutrition planning using the GWAAR Person-Centered Meal Prioritization Process assessment tool over the next three years to serve the 60+ population while managing capacity and seeking to avoid waitlists. The minutes note the tool was implemented in January 2025.
Evidence-based health promotion: The ADRC’s Title IIID goal emphasizes equity by hosting evidence-based programs across Marquette County, aiming for at least two classes per year and to reach all six communities that host senior dining sites. The minutes list several 2025 class series (for example, Stepping On, Mind Over Matter, Walk with Ease and others) and their dates.
Caregiver supports: The committee reviewed Title III-E goals to expand outreach and advocacy for caregivers countywide. Planned efforts include a QR flyer campaign beginning June 2025 (multiple flyer variants for different sites), and the establishment of a new memory café in Montello; these items were marked complete for 2025.
Staffing and coordination: The minutes note that Jayne Mullins (the prior GWAAR contact) has retired and that Donna S. Rosner, Elder Abuse Program Specialist with the Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources, is the new contact; an annual plan review with Donna was completed. Committee members also discussed future budget considerations for Human Services.
