The Deep River SustainableCT Committee reported that, in coordination with Green Bank, the only immediately viable Solar MAP project identified at this stage is at the town elementary school. The Board of Selectmen provisionally approved the concept and the committee forwarded a draft non‑binding Letter of Interest (LTI) to the town lawyer to begin the acquisition and proposal process.
Committee members warned that Green Bank27s timeline is tight. To keep the proposal on schedule, Sara and Jeff were assigned to meet with Green Bank on Monday to discuss the binding proposal and the steps required for formal BOS acceptance. The committee characterized the LTI as non‑binding; additional approvals and a formal proposal remain necessary before any commitment is made.
Next steps identified by the committee are the Sara/Jeff meeting with Green Bank, follow‑up drafting of the binding proposal, and formal BOS action if the proposal proceeds. The committee did not record dollar amounts, a construction timetable, or a finalized financing plan in the minutes.
