Public Works Committee recommends council approve lot-line shift for Broadway Senior Apartments

The Public Works Committee voted to recommend that the city council approve a Certified Survey Map (CSM) for Northpoint Phase Two that shifts an existing lot line roughly 40 feet north to place the entrance drive and parking for Broadway Senior Apartments entirely on the new Lot 1.

Justin, a representative from Bierbauer speaking for the applicant, said the adjustment was included as a condition of the project's GDP and is intended to ensure that the entrance and several parking stalls sit wholly on the apartment lot. "We're essentially shifting it just so that the entrance drive into the parking lot is entirely on the proposed lot for the apartment building," Justin said.

A committee member, Teresa, asked for clarification on the need for the move; staff explained the shift is not strictly required but addresses site-access logistics. Presenters also said cross-access easements will be recorded between proposed lots one and two to preserve shared access.

After discussion the committee member moved and another seconded a recommendation to the city council to approve the CSM. The committee approved the recommendation by voice vote.
