The Weld County Board of County Commissioners cleared the consent agenda and approved a series of routine contracts and intergovernmental agreements during its June 24 meeting.
Kylie (Department of Human Services staff) requested authorization to apply for a 2026–2027 Colorado Respite Coalition grant for $25,000 to support respite care countywide; commissioners approved the request. Kylie also presented annual reaffirmation for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Colorado Works) program and several workforce-related intergovernmental agreements, which the board approved.
The board approved two separate agreements to expand American Sign Language services (Deaf Communication Services LLC and 24-Hour Sign Language Services Inc.) to broaden access for county programs, and renewed a food-preparation agreement with the University of Northern Colorado for the Friendly Fork senior nutrition program.
Doug Earler of the Justice Services Department presented a one-year lease renewal effective July 1 for the community corrections facility at 1101 H Street (Intervention Inc., dba Intervention Community Correction Services), with an adjusted lease rate of $30,131 per month; commissioners approved the renewal.
Finance actions: Commissioner Maxi moved to approve general warrants; a roll call showed Harry Buck: yes, Lynette Pepler: abstain, Kevin Ross: yes, Jason Maxi: yes, Scott James: yes; warrants passed 4–0 with Pepler abstaining.
Board action: Each item was moved, seconded and approved on the record, primarily by voice vote or roll call where required. There were no public comments on consent items and no substantive debate recorded.
