Kristi Wynn proposed a motion that “The Cultural Council supports the renovation of the Highland Building for community use as it will help encourage more grant-aided cultural programming in Carlisle.” Dan Lennon seconded the motion; a roll-call vote recorded all Aye (Debbie Bentley, Dan Lennon, Amanda Kerns, Chris Brenne, Laurelyn Roberts).
The endorsement is a formal statement of support; the motion does not appropriate funds or direct municipal departments to act. The council framed the endorsement as a way to strengthen the town’s capacity to host cultural programming and to support grant applications by nonprofit partners.
