At the Oct. 17 meeting, Mr. Sexton reported the vendor remains engaged to finish remaining punch‑list items on newly installed safety walls. He said the elementary safety wall requires the state fire marshal's sign‑off on the architect's blueprints, and cameras at the middle and high schools need to be connected before the installations are complete. Mr. Sexton told the board he hopes the outstanding issues can be completed within the next two weeks.
The board approved a related appropriation for the K‑12 Safety Grant Fund earlier in the meeting; Mr. Sexton presented the facilities update as part of routine business and no separate vote was taken on the scheduling updates.
