Board approves consent hires, accepts resignation and renews superintendent contract

The board also accepted the resignation of substitute bus driver Travis Shaffer effective immediately.
Mrs. Sanderson moved and Ms. Griffith seconded approval of the consent agenda; the minutes record a unanimous roll-call vote in favor. In new business the board approved Mr. Sexton’s contract for the 2025–2026 school year (motion by Ms. Griffith, seconded by Mrs. Sanderson) and approved Policy 0100 on a voice vote (motion by Ms. Rhonemus, seconded by Mrs. Sanderson); both motions carried with all members voting yea.
The board set its next regular meeting for Feb. 19, 2025, at 6 p.m. in the Lynchburg‑Clay Middle School cafeteria and then adjourned.
