Lynchburg reports $25,083.94 August deficit; council approves July and August financial reports

Council voted to approve July's financial reports on a motion by Dave Minton, seconded by Marty Bailey (vote 6-0), and approved August's financial reports on a motion by Chris Hamlin, seconded by Marty Bailey (vote 6-0).
Mayor James Burton commented on the logistics of distributing financial materials, saying it "was too much time to make hard copies for everyone" and inviting council members to view reports in the fiscal officer's office.
Village Administrator Ashley Campbell presented the administrator report for Aug. 9–Sept. 12, 2024, and answered council questions about water supply. Campbell stated the village wells "should have no issues with keeping up with supply and demand." The administrator also noted that a mangled sign at South Street and Main Street would be repaired.
The meeting minutes do not record any immediate remedial budget actions or new appropriations tied to the August deficit; the council tabled discussion of packet distribution procedures until the Public Works Committee meeting scheduled for Oct. 3, 2024.
