During its Feb. 16 meeting, the Corning Community School District board approved the consent agenda and a set of accompanying administrative and procurement actions.
The consent agenda (approved by motion) included approval of the Jan. 19 and Jan. 28 meeting minutes; acceptance of the resignation of H. Engler, an elementary special education teacher; and approval of two open enrollments to Creston. Administrator reports were given during the meeting.
The board approved the Whole Grade Sharing Agreement waiver with Ahlers & Cooney, P.C., by motion moved by Adam Boswell and seconded by Trent Roberts; the motion carried unanimously. The board also approved bid packages as complete for L.A. Fulton and Grand Contracting and then adjourned the meeting at 7:08 p.m.
Why it matters: the consent actions affect school staffing and student placements and advance construction or procurement work recorded in the bid approvals. The resignation will create a personnel vacancy to be filled by the district; open-enrollment approvals change student assignments. The minutes do not include contract amounts or timelines for the approved bids.
