Council discussed proposed amendments to the zoning ordinance related to skill games of chance (previously approved) and additional items including permitting above-ground pools on adjoining vacant lots and allowing sheds up to 144 square feet on a gravel base, on skids or pillars so they would be removable.
Council indicated front-yard setback rules would still apply but considered removing the setback restriction on adjoining property lines. No formal motion or vote occurred; Solicitor Tim Wachter will draft suggested language for an ordinance amendment and present it to council for subsequent review.
Council directed staff to return a formal draft rather than taking immediate action during the July 9 meeting.
