Luckey council approves minutes and bills, hears sewer and park updates and adjourns

At the Aug. 21, 2024 meeting the Village of Luckey Council approved routine business and received brief department updates.
Councilperson Pat Covarrubias moved to accept the minutes of the Aug. 7 meeting; Mike McNulty seconded and roll-call votes by present council members were recorded as yes. Covarrubias then moved to accept the bills as presented; McNulty seconded and the motion carried by roll call.
Department and committee notes included a Police report recorded as 'none' and later 'all good'; maintenance items were listed as 'nothing new.' The streets/lighting/sewer/sidewalk committee reported a suggestion to schedule sewer cleaning after leaf season, asked that Northwest Water be asked for an estimate to replace nuts and bolts on a water basin, and noted that D and D will begin work on Broadview to address sitting water. Park notes said the Luckey sign at Basic Park is installed, and Mayor Cory Panning said a meeting should be scheduled with Eastwood Soccer to discuss the old school building. The mayor also said recycling bins are still being worked on.
Richard Heilman moved to adjourn at 7:15 p.m.; Mike McNulty seconded and roll-call votes recorded as yes. The meeting was adjourned.
