The Denison City Council on June 16 approved several non-routine administrative items: a professional-services agreement for a tree inventory, a purchase of a mobile data terminal (MDT) and docking station for public-safety use, and a Length of Service Award Programs Grant Agreement with the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA).
Council approved an agreement with JEO Consulting Group, Inc., for professional services on a tree inventory project for $23,840.00. The council also approved an invoice from MacQueen for an MDT and docking station in the amount of $12,497.30; staff said competing bids were higher and omitted installation fees, and staff were instructed to keep vendor quotes with the purchase record.
Council approved the IEDA Length of Service Award Agreement with the condition that Councilmember John Granzen’s continued service did not conflict with Article III of the grant agreement; the roll-call vote recorded four ayes and one abstention (Granzen).
