The Denison City Council on June 16 adopted a resolution to increase hangar rent at the Denison Municipal Airport and approved changes to the airport's courtesy-car policy, including expanding the allowable distance to 45 miles and adding indemnification and hold-harmless language.
Resolution #2026-38, introduced and adopted during the meeting, authorizes increased hangar rent at the municipal airport. Separately, City Manager Garcia proposed edits to the Airport Courtesy Car Policy to add protective indemnity language, to amend the allowable travel distance to 45 miles to better accommodate travelers, and to include a clause that disclaims City liability if a courtesy car is unavailable. Council approved the policy amendments and then adopted Resolution #2026-39 authorizing the Courtesy Car Agreement.
Councilmembers approved both resolutions by unanimous vote. The changes are aimed at clarifying staff and city liability and broadening the service radius for airport users. The council did not discuss a specific rent schedule during the public meeting minutes beyond adoption of the resolution.
