Pendleton County approves $398,258.78 drawdown for Courthouse Annex, passes routine appointments and payments

On Nov. 4 the Pendleton County Commission approved a drawdown of $398,258.78 for the Courthouse Annex project and passed a set of routine administrative motions unanimously.
Commissioner Roger Dahmer moved to approve the drawdown; the motion carried with unanimous vote. In the same meeting the commission approved payment of $1,346.00 to AQS to replace two blower motors at the Pendleton County Library, with the maintenance expense paid from county funds on a unanimous motion by Commissioner Dahmer.
The commission also approved several fiduciary appointments and estate settlements presented by the county clerk (motions by Commissioner Jimmie Bennett, votes unanimous). Notably, Leroy Kuh was appointed administrator in the estate of Samuel Lee Kuh with a $13,000 bond signed with State Farm Insurance. The commission ordered the listed allowances and checks across multiple county funds and adjourned until Nov. 18, 2025.
The commission approved charging the Town of Franklin $1,200 to place its ballot on the county primary ballot. The meeting ended with a motion by Commissioner Bennett to adjourn; the commission set the next regular meeting for Nov. 18, 2025.
