Galena council organizational meeting: minutes, appointments, invoices and calendar approved

The Village of Galena completed routine organizational business at its Jan. 6 meeting.
Council adopted the minutes of the Dec. 16, 2024 meeting on a motion by Kathy Krupa, seconded by Gillian Doucette; the motion passed unanimously in a 6-0 voice vote. Committee appointments were recorded and attached to the minutes.
Mayor Kinnell asked for a motion to re-appoint Seth Everitt to the Planning and Zoning Commission; Josh Porter moved the re-appointment, Mike Fry seconded, and the motion passed on a 6-0 roll call (Krupa-Yes, Doucette-Yes, Hopper-Yes, Casuccio-Yes, Fry-Yes, Porter-Yes).
Kathy Krupa moved to pay remaining invoices for December 2024; Gillian Doucette seconded and the motion passed 6-0. The minutes record no public participation.
Mayor Kinnell read Resolution No. 2024-25 (rules of council for 2025). Kathy Krupa moved to postpone the resolution until the Jan. 27 council meeting; Gillian Doucette seconded and the motion passed on a 6-0 roll call.
The minutes state there was no executive session. Council approved the Calendar of Events on a unanimous voice vote, then voted to adjourn at 7:37 p.m. The next council meeting was scheduled for Jan. 27, 2025, at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers and by Zoom.
