Planning staff told the commission the village’s Parks and Recreation Plan needs substantive updates before the state Department of Natural Resources will re-approve it for grant eligibility. Commissioners agreed to coordinate with the township and consultant McKenna on a plan update that could support future trail, sidewalk and park funding applications.
Separately, staff announced an incoming rezoning request for 487 E. Elizabeth St., proposing a change from R-1 to R-3. Commissioners were advised that application materials will be circulated and that standard public-notice procedures and a public hearing will precede any decision. No public testimony was offered on either item at the Nov. 6 meeting.
