Earlier in the meeting Council Member Lindsey Stanley moved and Council Member William B.B. Loyd seconded an amendment to add a police-department agenda item regarding the Chief of Police’s request to use a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office vehicle for school patrols; the amendment passed on a roll-call vote with all five council members voting yes.
