Mayor Cincione introduced Resolution R-2675-25 to amend Resolution R-2166-08 and designate the Fiscal Officer as the Village's Housing Officer. Council moved to suspend the rules, and the resolution was approved unanimously.
Separately, the Mayor introduced O-2734-25, an ordinance to amend Section 154.056 concerning setbacks of buildings on principal streets and highways, for its first reading. Council debated appropriate setback distance and the proper starting point for measurement. Solicitor Yazan Ashrawi and Council President Dow T. Voelker were asked to investigate the unique circumstances on Bluff Avenue and report back to Council; no final vote was taken on the ordinance at this meeting.
Staff and Solicitor follow-up will determine whether the proposed measurement method changes the effective setback for properties discussed during public comment.
