Marble Cliff awaits OPWC decision on Cambridge Blvd.; AEP perimeter wall work due by December 2025

The village is awaiting the outcome of an Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) application for the Cambridge Boulevard Improvements project; the OPWC project number was not specified in the minutes.
The mayor also gave a construction update on the AEP site. He said perimeter wall construction is underway and is expected to be complete by December 2025, at which time one of two new transformers will be functional and dismantling of the old transformer will begin. The second transformer is expected to be online in April 2026. The meeting record says the monument sign will be built and landscaping installed in fall 2026; AEP will maintain the wall while the Village will be responsible for landscaping under terms still under review.
Village engineer Mr. Zmith said he is awaiting OPWC results, is soliciting quotes for sidewalk replacement, and recommended postponing striping at the north end of the Cambridge island until the whole street project is addressed. Mr. Zmith also reported that he reviewed the Columbus Water agreement and that any related work would require additional council action.
