Marble Cliff council approves fence variance, rooftop solar installation and insurance renewal

At its June 16 meeting the Village of Marble Cliff approved multiple permit requests and routine administrative items.

Dean Marcellana was sworn in and requested a fence variance to extend a fence at 1624 Roxbury Road to match the Packard Development lot line. After Council questions, Council Member Matthew R. Jolson moved to approve the variance; Council Member Kendy A. Troiano seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Bryce Monson was sworn in and requested permission to install rooftop solar panels at 1370 Cambridge Boulevard. The solicitor reviewed the village's rules for solar panels; Council Member Matthew R. Jolson moved to approve Mr. Monson’s request with Council Member Joanne C. Taylor seconding. The motion was approved unanimously.

On routine business, the council approved the consent agenda (minutes and monthly reports) on a motion by Dow T. Voelker with a second by Kendy A. Troiano. Fiscal Officer Stephanie Evans presented May 2025 financial reports; Council Member Kendy A. Troiano moved to approve the financial reports, seconded by Joanne C. Taylor; the motion passed unanimously.

Council considered O-2730-25, authorizing renewal of the Village's insurance policy with Ohio Government Risk Management Plan covering property, liability, automobile and electronic data processing risks. Council Member Kendy A. Troiano moved to approve O-2730-25; Council Member Joanne C. Taylor seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

These actions were recorded as unanimous in the minutes; the council did not record individual roll-call votes.
