Mapleton Local board signs off on 2024–25 staff contracts, hires and coaching assignments

On July 8 the Mapleton Local School District Board approved a bundle of personnel items via the Superintendent's consent agenda.
The Board accepted the resignation of Raichel Herte, Mapleton High School intervention specialist, effective at the end of the 2023–24 school year. It approved limited one-year classified contracts for three cooks — Anna Williams (Mapleton High School/Mapleton Middle School), Kelly Stroub (Mapleton Elementary School) and Elizabeth Dorsey (Mapleton Elementary School) — each for three hours per day (15 hours per week).
The Board approved a certified salary advancement for Mackenzie Irelan from BA to BA+15 after completion of college coursework per the district's negotiated agreement for FY25.
Supplemental coaching contracts approved for 2024–25 include Matthew Roshak (MMS Cross Country coach), Faith Lutz (JV girls basketball coach), Corey Kline (varsity assistant wrestling, 1/2), and multiple volunteer and grade-level coaching appointments. Pupil activity contracts approved include Gabe Murawski (Assistant Band Director) and other assistant and head coach assignments for boys and girls basketball and wrestling.
All personnel actions in this package were approved as part of the consent agenda, carried by recorded roll-call votes. No individual board member votes against any personnel item in the minutes.
