Police Chief Shaundra Randolph introduced two internal promotions at the Aug. 5 Village Board meeting: Lucas Roth was promoted to corporal and Skyler Feuerstein was promoted to detective. Chief Randolph said the department continues to hire; one candidate was eliminated after a background check and another failed to prepare for the academy in time.
Administrator Egan reported the Village is registered for the West Allis Christmas parade and reminded residents that National Night Out is scheduled for Aug. 16 from 5–9 p.m. She said the 2023 audit by Baker Tilly is complete and will be reviewed with the board at the Aug. 19 meeting. Advertising for bids has begun on a street-lighting grant project and four Community Development Block Grant applications were submitted by the July 31 deadline; the Village received reimbursements for completed CDBG projects in 2023.
No new items were listed for future committee deliberation. The board adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
