Police chief reports fatal crash; seeks to buy and outfit a squad vehicle

Chief Randolph identified a used squad vehicle the department would like to purchase for roughly $29,000 and reported a separate estimate of approximately $14,200 to outfit the vehicle. She said DPW mechanic Mike Tenpas has agreed to complete most of the outfitting labor, which the chief presented as a cost-saving measure.
The board recorded the report as part of regular department updates; no formal vote on the purchase was recorded in the meeting minutes. Any procurement would follow municipal purchasing requirements and budget approvals prior to acquisition.
