Marquette County staff said they have launched a public survey and interactive mapping site for the county comprehensive plan and that a recent NG911 GIS grant submittal met required closeout criteria.
Jean, the county zoning administrator, showed the committee the consultant‑hosted website and described the survey as the mechanism the public will use to help shape the 10–20‑year comprehensive plan. "When they take the survey, they will be looking at these questions and just answering different items," Jean said; the online tool also lets residents link input to a specific property by address so staff can track land‑use change requests.
Megan, the land information director, reported the county had completed NG911 grant upload requirements and that work to separate servers and improve data security is underway. She said the office is pursuing outreach to town boards, posting events to the county calendar and will coordinate regional stakeholder meetings in northern, central and southern parts of the county this fall.
The county also announced it is hosting a Wisconsin County Zoning Association regional meeting July 21 with a site tour and discussions on campground regulations.
