The Brooklyn Agricultural Commission conducted routine business at its June 23 regular meeting, unanimously approving a set of procedural motions and allocating $298 to buy a 55-inch LG television for commission use.
Chair Anne Ennis called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. and the commission recorded a quorum: Anne Ennis (Chair), Charles Langevin (Vice Chair), Lou Brodeur, Sandra Brodeur and Stan Karro. Lachelle Rosinski and Rebecca Laitres were absent. Recording Secretary J.S. Perreault was present.
Sandra Brodeur moved to seat Lou Brodeur as a voting member for the meeting in place of absent alternate Lachelle Rosinski; Charles Langevin seconded. The motion carried by voice vote, recorded as 4-0-0.
Lou Brodeur then moved to approve the regular meeting minutes of April 28, 2026 (the commission did not meet in May); Sandra Brodeur seconded. The motion passed unanimously, 5-0-0.
On new business, Lou Brodeur moved to allocate $298 from the 2025–2026 fiscal-year budget to purchase an LG 55-inch television for commission use; Sandra Brodeur seconded. Members approved the motion unanimously, 5-0-0. Lou Brodeur was assigned to submit the purchase information to the Town.
Members also discussed outreach at the upcoming Brooklyn Fair. The Town will have a tent and commissioners debated whether to use the town display or run a separate booth; concerns included space, access to power, security and whether a banner could be displayed. Sandra Brodeur said she would check with Joe Bellavance about logistics.
Charles Langevin moved to adjourn at 7:18 p.m.; Lou Brodeur seconded. The motion passed, 5-0-0. Minutes for the meeting were submitted by Recording Secretary J.S. Perreault.
