License commission continues multiple petitions and dismisses one incident matter

At its June 10 meeting the Springfield City License Commission continued multiple licensing matters to its next session and took no action on a separate incident report.
Earlier in the agenda the commission heard a report about an incident involving Ace Will Do It LLC (111 Chestnut Street) on March 29, 2026. Attorney Daniel Kelly said police took video evidence and the licensee cooperated; licensing counsel cited administrative concerns including an out-of-date phone number on file. After discussion the commission moved to "dismiss. Take no action." (no disciplinary action recorded).
The commission continued an incident-related matter for Amabola Bakery & Bistro LLC, DBA Mojitos Bar and Restaurant (497 Belmont Ave.) because the packet contained conflicting incident dates; staff and counsel asked for time to exchange the correct police report and the matter was continued to June 24, 2026.
Two new petitions were also continued. Creative ANA Investments LLC, doing business as Azul Agave at 1000 Hall of Fame Avenue, had missed a planning-board appearance; planning staff had tabled the item to June 17 and commissioners voted to move the license hearing to June 24 to allow planning review. A separate petition for WR RNR LLC / District Fusion Table at 278 Wington Street was continued after state reviewers returned the application because an owner’s background check revealed convictions not disclosed on the application; the commission said more documentation and review were needed and continued the petition to June 24.
Each continuance was recorded by roll call; commissioners urged applicants to supply missing paperwork and to appear at the next session.
