The Haritch Conservation Commission approved site improvements and building modifications at 29 and 31–33 Snowing Road (SE32‑2628) after the applicant submitted required clarifications and added landscaping that reduces lawn and introduces pollinator habitat.
Sean Riley, of the firm Tyan Bond, told the commission he provided a standards narrative for work near the coastal bank and added a note to specify a drought‑tolerant fescue lawn on a 6‑inch loam bed plus an adjacent pollinator meadow with a listed set of native species. "We've added pollinator habitat adjacent to that exterior wall with the arborvitae along with some native plants interspersed," he said.
Staff review found an overall net reduction of about 159 square feet of hardscape in the commission's jurisdiction, so formal mitigation was not required; commissioners encouraged further lawn reduction and species diversity. Commissioner Vivian recommended approval and there were no objections from other members.
The commission moved, seconded and approved the project unanimously. The decision includes the landscape commitments described on the record.
