Suffolk celebrates new downtown library as thousands visit in opening days

Council members praised library staff and volunteers for a multi‑decade effort to complete the project and said the building will serve as a community asset for years. Councilors also noted related downtown improvements — the reopening of the Seaboard Station Railroad Museum and the new Route 58 flyover — as part of recent downtown momentum.
Officials encouraged residents to visit the library and highlighted upcoming free events and programming for children and adults.
