Easton commission approves pool house, three farm as‑of‑right determinations and other routine items

The commission approved application #26‑743 with standard stipulations pending health department approval; the vote was recorded as a unanimous voice vote. Cathy Alfandre moved the approval, and Karin Niesyn seconded.
Morehouse Road As‑of‑Right requests: Rebecca Soule represented three As‑of‑Right requests (663, 671 and 681 Morehouse Road) covering roughly 12.4 acres; she said the applicants plan to use an existing private road, plant native fruits and vegetables, and possibly erect a temporary structure to store farm implements. The commission approved the three As‑of‑Right determinations with an added stipulation that copies of a site plan for each address be provided.
102 Gate Ridge pool: Contractor Gardner Broderick and owner Thomas Betzig described a proposed 20' x 40' pool, and commissioners asked about equipment access given an old septic system on site. The commission approved application #26‑748 with an additional stipulation to extend the silt fence; the motion passed by voice vote 5–0 (one member absent).
Town EMS building: The commission approved extending the expiration date for application #24‑676 (Town EMS building septic/rain garden/parking reconstruction) to July 8, 2028.
Rock House Road permit revocation: After reviewing evidence that clearing and stumping had occurred within 100 feet of wetlands and that silt fencing had been incomplete or improperly installed, the commission moved to revoke Permit #24‑686 (lot line division and two house lots) under applicable inland/wetlands regulation 11.8. The motion to revoke passed by unanimous voice vote.
Next steps: Applicants were reminded to stake work corners, install silt fencing as directed and provide required site plans and health‑department approvals before work proceeds.
