Scott council approves preliminary $1.135 million promissory note for emergency services building

Mayor Richard restated the same terms and said the purchase is contingent on approval by the Bond Commission on Sept. 30. The resolution calls for a payment schedule spanning five years.
Councilman Hollier seconded the motion. The council recorded "no comments or objection" from members present; the motion "carried by majority." The minutes do not include a roll-call vote or a numerical tally.
The meeting convened at 12:00 p.m. at Scott City Hall and adjourned at 12:10 p.m. Councilman Suire was noted absent. The minutes include the city clerk's signature line for Shelley Gautreau.
Because the resolution's final purchase is subject to the Bond Commission's approval on Sept. 30, the promissory note authorization remains preliminary until that action occurs.
