At its March 18 meeting the Town of Union Board received and filed bids for two public-works projects and authorized upcoming procurement for a recycling truck body and chassis.
The minutes list a bid from Tre-Gen Concrete Corp. of $651,716.00 for curb and gutter sidewalk replacement. For Underdrain Installation and Connections the minutes list a $72,502.00 bid from R.B. Magliocca Construction and a $123,291.00 bid from Tre-Gen Concrete Corp. The board moved to receive and file those bids; motions were recorded as moved by Councilman Joseph P. Nirchi Sr. and seconded by Councilman David Kudgus.
Separately, the board authorized the town to receive bids for one 2026-or-newer diesel 4x2 truck chassis with specified recycling body features; bids were set to be received and opened on March 31, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The minutes also record an approved additional $2,373.00 to the mechanic service body truck purchase (increasing the quoted total from $229,500.00 to $231,873.00) and approvals for staff to attend related industry training and vendor events.
The minutes present the bid amounts and vendor names as submitted; the board's actions at the meeting were procedural (receive and file, authorize bid receipt) rather than final award decisions.
