District Manager Chuck Adams presented Estimate #C060‑24 from MRI Construction for the Pine Hurst Project Type 9 inlet top, a proposal of $10,692.88 intended to keep debris from blocking the structure; staff said an additional proposal is being obtained and the item will remain on the agenda.
The Board continued its discussion of the FY2024/2025 budget. Mr. Adams asked whether any adjustments were needed beyond Supervisor Blumenthal’s updated five‑year Capital Improvement Plan. Discussion included design and permitting for guardhouses, possible transfers into cash sweep accounts, well and traffic‑hawk devices, and scheduling upcoming projects. Staff noted the Proposed 2023–2029 five‑year budget plan was included with the unaudited financial statements.
Mrs. Adams presented unaudited financial statements as of June 30, 2024 and answered questions about check‑register items. The Board approved the June 25, 2024 meeting minutes as amended and confirmed the next meeting — which will include the FY2025 budget adoption hearing — is scheduled for August 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
