Town Manager reports grant work, community meeting and public-works updates; Cole grant will buy flags for 250th

At the March 9 Selectmen meeting Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb reported that work on three town grant applications is ongoing and announced a community meeting for Wednesday, March 11 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss those efforts.
Liscomb said the town was awarded a Cole Transportation matching grant to purchase flags for telephone poles to mark America's 250th birthday. "We were once again awarded the Cole Transportation matching grant for the purchase of flags for the telephone poles," she said.
She also said the budget presentation will be rescheduled after the town lost a meeting because of an internet outage and a snowstorm; the rescheduled full-budget meeting will be held at the next scheduled Selectmen meeting.
R. Chandler, listed as Fire Chief and Road Commissioner, reported that benches are complete and will be put out when the snow melts, and that J.E. Tracey is scheduled to begin dock repairs on March 10.
The minutes note several FYI items filed for the record, including the Investment Statement, a letter from the Historical Society and a Schoodic EMS report. A public commenter asked whether the town website could carry links to area services.
The meeting adjourned at 7:24 p.m.
