At the March 23 meeting the Winter Harbor Board of Selectmen approved a new Meeting Place Policy and an Acceptable Use Agreement for Cyber Security and deferred discussion of a proposed resident texting service.
The board moved and seconded to adopt the new Meeting Place Policy as written; the minutes record the motion as Approved 3-0. The board also approved the town’s Acceptable Use Agreement for Cyber Security in a 3-0 vote. The minutes note that discussion of 'Text my Gov' was tabled so members could obtain additional information; the item will be revisited at the next meeting.
During Budget Committee updates, Selectman S. Fortin asked whether adoption of the Meeting Place Policy means the Board would no longer grant permission for the committee to meet at alternate locations, prompting a request for clarification. The minutes do not record a formal response to that question.
The meeting record shows these policy votes were routine approvals; the board continued with other agenda items including finance and facilities updates and adjourned at 7:37 p.m.
