The board discussed the contract during the Personnel Committee meeting on Sept. 8 prior to the vote.
The Personnel Committee had recommended the board consider renewing the superintendent’s contract before the current contract expires on June 30, 2026. The board did not record any abstentions or opposing votes. No additional procedural conditions or contingencies were announced at the meeting.
The approval was the most significant personnel action of the evening; other business included routine approvals and committee updates. The contract takes effect July 1, 2026, and runs through June 30, 2031.
