Evan Rummel of Rehmann told the Fruitport Community Schools Business and Finance Committee on Oct. 13 that the district’s fiscal 2025 audit contained no findings and that Rehmann issued Fruitport its highest audit opinion.
Rummel said the single audit remains in draft because of a federal government shutdown and that, once the single audit is released, the district will place it on the agenda for the next regular board meeting. No committee action was taken at the Oct. 13 meeting because the single audit is not yet final.
Mark Mesbergen, the district’s director of business services, confirmed the presentation and noted that Rummel will present the audit again at the upcoming full board meeting. The committee recorded no motions or votes on the audit during its meeting.
The committee convened at 5:08 p.m. and adjourned at 5:46 p.m.; the minutes were signed and submitted by Mesbergen.
