Patagonia council approves fire protection agreement, building IGA and committee appointment

The council accepted Rodrigo Sierra‑Corona's resignation from the Flood and Flow Committee and appointed Chuck Klingenstein — noted in the minutes as a board member of Borderlands Restoration Network — to fill the vacancy. The appointment passed 5-0.
Council Member Claverie moved, and Council Member Finch seconded, approval of an agreement for fire protection and emergency medical services between the Town of Patagonia and Patagonia Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Inc., an Arizona nonprofit corporation; the motion passed 5-0.
The council also approved an updated intergovernmental agreement with the Santa Cruz County Building Department for building plan review and inspection services and approved payment of accounts payable. All votes on these items were recorded as 5-0.
These measures were taken after the budget public hearing and adoption; the meeting concluded with no future agenda items and adjournment at 6:22 p.m.
