Hicksville updates water park infrastructure; pool project re-bid set for Jan. 9

Administrator Cory Wann updated the Hicksville Village Council on the water park project, reporting that American Electric Power completed installation of a new utility pole and transformers at the park site.
Wann said a NEMA 4X electrical panel is scheduled to ship on Feb. 25, 2025, and the pool portion of the water park has been re-bid with a submission deadline of Jan. 9, 2025. He described the utility work as a significant step forward in development of the park.
The report also covered routine operations: seasonal leaf pickup finished Dec. 13 with 76 loads collected, and the village is scheduling yard restoration in spring 2025 after utility repairs at 105 West Hicks St. The village’s 2000 plow truck had air brake chambers replaced and all trucks were serviced and declared ready for snow removal.
No funding votes or construction contracts were approved at the meeting; council received the update and placed the project status on the record.
