Hicksville council to consider contributing to Defiance County tourism video

Mack said the fee would be $750 for the remainder of 2024 and $1,500 for 2025. The council and Mayor Michael Barth said they thought the project was a good idea and agreed to look into providing support; Barth said he would consult Fiscal Officer Cheryl Smith and follow up with Mack.
The request was introduced during the meeting’s opening presentations. Council members did not take a formal vote on a contribution that night; the mayor’s follow‑up with the fiscal office is the next procedural step. Any financial commitment would be subject to review of the village’s budget and the formal appropriation process.
