At its May 19 meeting the Canby City Council awarded the city's seal-coating and crack-sealing project to Pearson Bros., Inc. of Hanover, Minnesota, accepting the low bid of $110,130.30. Council recorded that three bids were received ranging from $110,130.30 to $148,744.95. The contract includes a completion date of August 30, 2026. The motion to award the bid was made by Councilmember Marisa Kack and seconded by Councilmember Rick Bueltel; all members present voted in favor.
The council also reviewed and approved a contract with MacDonald & Mack for renovation of the box office and entry at the Canby Theater. Councilmember Susan Cram moved to approve the contract; Councilmember Bueltel seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Both items were routine contract approvals in the meeting record. Implementation steps include contract execution and scheduling with the selected contractors.
