Special District staff reported a series of community events and program updates to the Bloomington MAC on Nov. 1.
Staff said the Ayala Park community garden has opened and that more than 100 seniors attended the 5th District resource fair, where they received resources, food and opportunities to network. Trunk or Treat at Ayala Park drew about 4,000 visitors, the minutes say. Special District staff also said Dream Field is moving along and that a tree‑lighting ceremony and Santa photos are planned at Ayala Park. They added that a 2025 Bloomington brochure will list community events beginning in January.
MAC members used their reports to thank residents for attending meetings and encouraged community outreach. Member Gary Grossich asked that the Bloomington Garage property ownership be researched to explore potential reuse; he also noted Measure L and Measure BB as possible sources of funding for community priorities but did not present formal proposals.
No formal actions or funding commitments were recorded at the meeting; items were reported for council awareness and community information.
