Planning Administrator Tammie Robertson reviewed a preliminary and final plat for a residential division at 310 Kate Road and recommended approval contingent on the developer addressing conditions listed in the City Engineer's review. Councilmember Alfred Sinegal moved to accept the plat based on the engineer's review; the motion was seconded and approved.
The council also reviewed Pelican Pointe (Bechet) Subdivision final acceptance review No. 1, a proposed single-family development of 73 lots adjacent to Bois Bechet Subdivision. Robertson recommended approval contingent on the developer satisfying the City Engineer's conditions; Councilmember Jordan Arceneaux moved to accept the final review and the motion was approved.
Separately, the council finally adopted Ordinance No. 2026-003 to annex property at 338 Thoroughbred Drive into the City of Carencro (motion moved by Danielle Capritto, seconded by Alfred Sinegal, recorded as approved). The meeting minutes note the contingency language that developers must correct any deficiencies identified later at no cost to the City of Carencro.
