Commissioners praised the new high‑visibility zebra striping and urged staff to coordinate outreach with schools so students and parents understand the change.
On resident blue‑curb requests, traffic engineer Dennis Barnes said staff verified applicants met the city’s blue‑curb criteria (disabled placard, lack of adequate off‑street parking or narrow driveway) and recommended 20‑ft blue‑curb segments with an ADA sign and pavement legend for 753 Bradshaw Street and 1345 Carobway. The commission approved both requests by roll call; staff said each installation will be completed with maintenance‑fund resources.
