The Ontario City Council voted unanimously on routine and fiscal items at Monday’s meeting, approving the consent calendar (which included items 3 and 21) and a lease financing plan for an acquisition at 9175 East Chino Avenue.
The consent calendar passed on a 5-0 voice vote after a motion recorded as being made by Prada and seconded by Bowman. Members present voted in favor; no roll-call dissent, abstention or recusals were recorded in the transcript.
Item 22, a lease financing plan staff described as necessary for the proposed acquisition of property at 9175 East Chino Avenue, was presented during a public hearing with no speakers; Bowman moved the item and Perrotta seconded, and the council approved it 5-0.
Staff also reported that two initiative petitions had qualified related to hotel development and hotel-worker protections; the council voted to move those matters to staff for follow-up.
The mayor announced the next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, and then adjourned the session.
