Administrator Ryan VanDeWalle told the board the road vacation is part of a larger plan connected to a pending development agreement with 4 Season’s Golf of Wausau. VanDeWalle said the action will go next to the Planning and Zoning Commission and then return to the Village Board for final approval at the July 28 meeting, pending necessary approvals. He also said the goal is to begin construction in early August 2025, subject to completion of the development agreement and related utility-abandonment discussions.
Trustee Bill Schremp moved to approve Resolution 2025-04, and Trustee Jason Jablonski seconded. The motion carried 7–0. The minutes record that the board’s approval at this meeting was unanimous; VanDeWalle’s comments and the minutes indicate additional procedural steps remain before construction can begin.
Next steps: the road vacation will be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Village Board is scheduled to consider final approval at its July 28 meeting, contingent on any required approvals and the completion of the development agreement.
