After adjourning the Board of Commissioners meeting, the Lancaster County Board of Equalization convened on Feb. 3 and conducted a public hearing on motor-vehicle tax-exemption applications for multiple nonprofit organizations.
The hearing covered exemption requests from Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska Inc., CenterPointe, Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach, Mount Zion Baptist Church, Pas the 10th High School, St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, Bethl Baptist Church, Troop 12 Foundation Inc., Donna Rehabilitation Hospital, Great Plains United Methodist Church, and Triangel Adventist Media Inc. No members of the public spoke during the hearing; the board then approved the listed exemptions on roll call.
What’s next: the exemptions will be recorded in station records and incorporated into the tax-assessment roll adjustments approved by the board.
