During their July 1 meeting, the Palm Springs Public Library Board of Trustees conducted nominations for chair, vice chair and treasurer for one-year terms ending June 30, 2027.
Nominations were opened sequentially. With only one nominee for each position and no further nominations from the floor, the presiding officer declared each nominee elected by unanimous consent in accordance with board procedure. Al Jones was nominated and thanked for continuing as treasurer.
Following the declarations, the board moved, seconded and voted to accept the election results; the voice vote was recorded as all in favor. The board took no further formal action related to the officer slate at the meeting.
