The vendor gave a baseline timeline that staff summarized as roughly 4 weeks for design, 2 weeks for approval, 2–3 weeks for fabrication drawings, 6–7 weeks for fabrication and 2–4 weeks for installation — about 20–22 weeks from notice to proceed as an early estimate.
Outbound baggage and restroom renovation: Staff said outbound baggage handling is in site‑investigation phases and restroom renovation drawings are approved but waiting on budget allocations and consultant review to proceed.
EV chargers and pickup trucks: Harmon said eight pickup trucks have arrived and that maintenance installed four EV chargers on site; the chargers must be activated and calibrated (weights & measures) and staff are coordinating with ChargePoint and vendor partners. He noted the EV charging work was funded by an FAA grant with a local match of roughly 10%.
Hanger 18: Mobilization on a storm‑repair mobilization was reported to begin on the 22nd of the month with an expected completion in late July or early August after utility relocations.
Seating and shade structures (Measure J): Staff received vendor seating proposals for Measure J funding and selected darker colors per earlier guidance; the proposals would power about 46% of new seats and staff plan to present recommendations at the next meeting. Commissioners asked whether shade structures could be relocated with future TNC changes; Harmon said staff would ask the vendor but noted the project budget had been reduced from earlier higher estimates and that flexibility may be limited.
Commissioners asked for public notice timing for escalator closures and for the airport to coordinate messaging in advance of any demo closures.
