Mark Duffy agreed to lead the Great Brook Farm tour, scheduled for two showings at noon and 2 p.m. on June 27. The commission approved an estimated $500 ice cream cost and authorized Mac Hisey to research the cost of two advertisements in the Carlisle Mosquito and to approach the town administrator for funding. John Lee moved approval of the event, Marjie Findlay seconded, and the motion passed unanimously by roll call.
Mac Hisey reported he had contacted the town administrator to request funding for the event and to seek an annual Agricultural Commission budget in the range of $2,000 to $3,000 to support agriculture promotion in Carlisle; he will follow up with the administrator. The commission agreed the event approval is subject to the town’s funding decision.
The commission also agreed to pause regular meetings for the growing season, consistent with historical practices, but set a single meeting to catch up on minutes at 7 p.m. on June 17, 2026, at Town Hall. Chair Fielding will provide a list of minute dates to Mac Hisey so an agenda can be posted and a room reserved.
There were no public comments and no other business. At 8:15 p.m. John Lee moved to adjourn, Chris Fielding seconded, and the commission voted to adjourn unanimously.
Next steps: Mac Hisey will follow up with the town administrator on funding for the June 27 event and on the requested annual budget; the June 17 meeting will consider backlog minutes and decide on future meeting dates.
